Consumer Concerns: Cost and Space

When it comes to purchasing a golf simulator, the two biggest concerns for consumers are cost and space requirements. BJ explains, "The biggest concerns we hear from prospective clients are 'What will this cost me' and 'Will a simulator fit in my space?' These two concerns go hand in hand."

The price range for simulators is vast, ranging from $5,000 to $50,000, largely depending on the space available. With launch monitors priced anywhere from $1,000 to $15,000, understanding your goals and the space you have can help avoid purchasing inadequate equipment or overspending on unnecessary features.

So, how much space do you actually need? BJ provides a simple guideline: "The general rule of thumb is to have a 9’ ceiling, 15’ width, and 18’ length. If you have that, the sky is the limit on what you can do. If the measurements are less than that, you will be limited on products."

Key Features: Tailoring the Simulator to Your Needs

The golf simulator industry offers a variety of features tailored to different needs. Whether you’re a serious golfer looking to analyze your swing or someone who enjoys casual play with friends, there’s something for everyone.

BJ notes, "The golfer who wants to improve his/her game wants to see replays of each swing and measurements like ball speed, launch angle, spin rate, clubhead speed, distance, etc. For those who want to play casually, features like playing a match with both right and left-handed golfers, and access to courses like Royal Troon or Pebble Beach are important."

Maintenance Requirements

One of the great advantages of a good simulator system is the minimal maintenance required. BJ advises, "For good systems, there is virtually no maintenance other than keeping your playing area and equipment clean. Projector lenses and impact screens should be cleaned regularly when smudges or marks are seen."

The Assembled Golf Experience: Creating the Perfect Setup

Assembled Golf focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience by offering personalized consultations that take into account room dimensions, budget, and golfing goals. "Our goal is to take the guesswork out of purchasing and installing a golf simulator in your home. Several companies offer a turnkey package but do not offer installation and coaching on the system," BJ explains.

This approach ensures that customers receive a tailored solution that perfectly fits their needs, without the headache and time of research and installation.

Green Side Deals Guide

This week, I thought it would be interesting to share some of my favorite golf deals that I’ve come across. I'm always on the hunt for special deals on amazing equipment.

I’m currently in the market for new wedges, so I was checking out the PGA Superstore website and came across some excellent club deals, including some wedges I might purchase.

One of the standout deals is the Sim 2 Max Irons, which I currently play. They're on sale for $599.98, which is 25% off. I've had great success with these irons over the past two years and would highly recommend them, so maybe give them a look.

The most intriguing find for me was the SM9 Vokey wedges on sale for $150 each, which is 17% off. While this isn't an incredible deal, the Vokeys do not disappoint. I currently have the SM5s and have been very satisfied with them.

Here's the link to check out these deals: PGA Tour Superstore - Club Deals.

Let me know if you enjoyed this section on deals I've found for the week, and I’ll be sure to include similar pieces in future editions.
