The winner of The Open Championship is Xander Schauffle shooting -6. It was a wet one as you would expect at Royal Troon which left some very difficult golf for the players.

With this victory from Xander the United States sweeps all of the majors for the year. Some outstanding golf has been played by Americans this year in the professional scene.
